About Us
Message from Director

Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,

I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits. As the Director of Department of International Affairs and Research at the College of Applied Food and Dairy Technology (CAFODAT College), I wanted to take a moment to address you all and share some important updates and reflections.

Firstly, I express my sincere appreciation to each and every one of you for your dedication, hard work, and commitment to our college's mission of excellence in education, research, and global collaboration. Your efforts have played a significant role in establishing our college as a leading institution in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Nutrition & Dietetics Education, research, and Training.

I am pleased to inform you that our college's international collaborations and research initiatives have witnessed remarkable progress over the past years. We have successfully forged partnerships with renowned universities and research institutes from around the world, enabling our faculty and students to engage in cutting-edge research, exchange programs, and joint academic projects. These collaborations have enriched our academic environment and opened doors to exciting opportunities for international internships, scholarships, and research grants.

Furthermore, I would like to emphasize the significance of international exposure and cross-cultural learning for our students. In today's interconnected world, our graduates must possess a global mindset and the ability to navigate diverse cultural landscapes. To this end, we are working diligently to enhance our international exchange programs, offering students the chance to study abroad and experience different educational systems and practices. These experiences will undoubtedly broaden their horizons, foster personal growth, and equip them with a competitive edge in their future careers.

In line with our commitment to research excellence, we actively encourage faculty members to engage in collaborative research projects with international partners. Such endeavors amplify our college's research capabilities and contribute to solving national and global challenges in nutrition, dietetics, and the food and dairy industry. By leveraging international expertise and resources, we can make significant strides toward innovation, sustainability, and societal impact.

I urge all faculty and staff to explore the numerous opportunities available for national and international collaborations, research grants, and participation in conferences and symposia abroad. Our college's research office and international affairs team are here to provide guidance, support, and assistance in facilitating these endeavors. Together, we can continue to nurture a vibrant research community that pushes boundaries, creates knowledge, and leaves a lasting impact on the field.

Lastly, I want to reiterate that our college remains committed to promoting diversity, inclusivity, and equal opportunities for all. We embrace individuals from various backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives, as we firmly believe that diversity fuels creativity, fosters innovation, and enriches the learning experience for everyone involved.

I feel fortunate to be one of the members of the CAFODAT college faculties. Because I have two decades of experience with problems in implementing national nutrition programs with non-academic graduates, to address government commitment to eliminate nutritional issues, there is an urgent need for young Nepali professionals with an academic degree in nutrition and related research on the present condition in Nepal. This requires building their capacity to conduct research, develop policy, plan and program implementation at all three federal government levels, and provide technical support to industries. CAFQDAT College and faculties have taken the endeavor to offer quality nutrition & dietetics course to a certain number of students each year to fulfill the above professional requirements of government, private sectors, and industries in Nepal.

Thank you once again for your unwavering dedication and enthusiasm. Let us continue to work together, creating a brighter future for our college, our students, and the global food and dairy technology community.

Best regards,
